Overview

Financial Statements, done properly.

Lenders, landlords, franchisors and investors all ask for financial statements, and the quality of those statements shapes the answers you get. We prepare compilation engagement statements under CSRS 4200, the current standard that replaced the old Notice to Reader, built from properly reconciled books.

Beyond compliance, we walk you through the results: margins, cash flow and trends. The statements become a tool for decisions, not just a file for CRA.

Questions

Financial Statements FAQs.

Have a question that isn't listed? Ask us

What is a Notice to Reader?
Notice to Reader was the former name for a compilation engagement. It's now performed under CSRS 4200. Your CPA compiles the statements from information you provide, without audit or review procedures. It's the most common and cost-effective option for private businesses.
Will my bank accept compiled statements?
Most lenders accept compiled statements for small and mid-sized businesses. Some larger facilities require a review engagement. We'll confirm your lender's requirements before we begin.
How long does it take after year-end?
Once your books are complete and reconciled, statements are usually ready within a few weeks. If we maintain your bookkeeping, the process is significantly faster.
